Join the Detroit Police Law Enforcement Explorers in Promoting Gun Safety

The Detroit Police Law Enforcement Explorers are dedicated to building a safer, more informed community through responsible firearm education. As part of our commitment, we work in collaboration with national safety efforts, including those led by Project ChildSafe and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).

We invite parents and youth to take the Gun Safety Pledge and engage in our firearm safety initiatives. By taking the pledge, you commit to:

• Encouraging responsible firearm ownership

• Emphasizing the safe storage and handling of firearms

• Supporting ongoing education around gun safety

Our Explorers participate in structured, hands-on safety training designed to promote awareness and responsibility. We encourage families to carry these lessons into their homes and communities.
