Description:

The 2025 Detroit Police Law Enforcement Explorers Camp Academy is a dynamic and immersive experience designed for young individuals aged 10–18 who have an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Held in Howell, MI, this week-long camp provides Explorers with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on training and develop critical life and career skills. The program is a peer-to-peer educational initiative overseen by officers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. 

Program Highlights:

Explorers will engage in various training modules, including:

• Crime Scene Investigation

• Active Shooter Simulation

• Traffic Felony Stops

• Domestic Violence Intervention

• Crime Prevention

• Arrest and Search Techniques

• Drill and Ceremony

• First Aid & Stop the Bleed

• Mobile Field Force Operations
  
  

Physical Agility:

 Daily physical training sessions will help Explorers build endurance, strength, and mental resilience. Participants are encouraged to prepare in advance with push-ups, sit-ups, running, and other exercises.

Learning and Fun:

The camp is designed to be both educational and enjoyable, offering a balanced mix of rigorous training and engaging activities that keep participants motivated, focused, and excited throughout the week.

Uniform Deposit Fee

There is a $35 uniform deposit fee required for each participating student. This fee helps cover uniform costs and ensures all Explorers are properly equipped for camp activities.

Transportation:

Attending students will be bussed to and from Howell, ensuring safe and convenient travel for all participants.
